Janice Fischer, BSc, with a postgraduate Diploma in Business, is a globally recognized leader in enterprise cybersecurity, technology operations, and risk management. She has spent decades working in Information Technology for Fortune 500 companies, delivering solutions focused on cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, and end-to-end enterprise operations.
During her career, she held a senior executive role at IBM where she served as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for a public cloud. She was responsible for implementing pioneering controls for Financial Institutions in a globally operated public cloud. In a separate executive assignment, she held personal accountability for critical infrastructure while leading IT operations for an outsourcing portfolio covering crucial capabilities in leading financial institutions, governments, airlines, railways, and telecommunications companies.
Janice's international leadership experiences include overseeing all offshore delivery for IBM Technology Services through a global team of 45,000 professionals in Asia, Eastern Europe, South America, and Africa. Additionally, she created IBM Cloud’s Multi Zone Regions, an infrastructure model dedicated to performance, resilience, and security, and deployed them in Europe, Asia Pacific, North and South America.
She is known as an energetic and engaging consultant who can seamlessly transition from strategic planning to hands-on details as per the needs of the program. She is respected for effectively advising, supporting, and coaching global teams of diverse sizes and constituencies. Janice’s extensive experience in cybersecurity, risk management, systems, and applications makes her a valuable asset in supporting C-Suites and CISO’s.
